Handmade rugs can last decades if properly cared for. The handmade rugs we make are made of high quality wool and with natural dyes so it automatically increases the lifespan of a woolen rug.

It also depends on weaving techniques so we use highly knot density which makes it  more durable and detailed rug. 

Vacuuming to remove dust and dirt will be the best way. 

In case of spot cleaning, use cold water and mild wool safe detergent. You can clean it gently do not over wet.

It is suggested to increase the durability of the rug it should be cleaned with a specialized handmade or oriental rugs. 

Prolonged sun exposure can fade natural dyes. Rotate regularly if in a sunny spot.
Vacuum under the rug and along edges frequently. Avoid storing it in dark, damp, or dirty places.

If you are storing it make sure to clean it first,roll it and wrap it in cotton or muslin, not plastic
